Sarah, I have just finished The Color of My Heart…Tears are still in my eyes and I am having a difficult time finding the words to describe how I feel. What a book! I loved your last one, but this one is in a league of its own! Thank you for sharing it with me for it has touched my heart in a way that I’ll never forget. I love you my friend and I love your heart!

Lucky Press is very excited about bringing the story of Sadie and Sammy, along with their mother, Millie, and Grandma Ann to readers who love a good fiction story with endearing characters trying earnestly to improve their lives and overcome their past. Guardian Spirit will appeal to ages 14 and up and to adult readers as well. Libraries will definitely want to add this book to their shelves.

When you pick up Guardian Spirit you are caught from the first page! This story takes you into the lives of two children who have survived an abusive childhood. Sarah has brought this ugly trauma of abuse to the surface and then brought the victims through it with the help of their guardian spirits. You are spellbound during the journey to the cabin of safety in the Blue Ridge Mountains to the awareness of magical powers hidden in the woods.

I finished reading Guardian Spirits. It was really inspirational, suspenseful, and magical. Those are only a few words to describe this great novel. You could really feel the magic of the mountains as your story builds. Don’t want to give away a great plot but this is something everyone should read.

I finished reading Guardian Spirit last night. What a story you were able to get on paper. I experienced about every emotion within me while reading it. It was the most touching story I have ever read. I pray that it will help someone out there to know that there is a way out of such a hell. You amaze me with your talent and compassion!

Wow! I could hardly put the book down. I loved it all, and enjoyed the familiar names and places. I read quite a bit, and I think your writing is up to par with any of the successful authors!

Beautifully written. This writer, in an authentic Southern voice, tells a captivating, inspirational and unforgettable story. I was drawn in immediately and wanted to continue reading until the very end. I loved how the writer weaves the Cherokee Indian ancestry and the quaint lifestyle of the Blue Ridge Mountains into the story. I think this book would provide many points of discussion for book groups as well as for middle school and high school readers. I think guidance counselors and psychologists would also find it helpful to use as a resource. Although fiction, this book provides the reader an unique insight into the conflicting emotions that the victims must feel while living in the shadows of domestic abuse. Having read it, I have a greater understanding of how today’s abuse can lay the foundation to future abuse. I am so glad I read it and I can’t wait to read anything else this author writes!
